The operating assumption behind the CMP is that we can win back the majority in the House, and do it with candidates who are proudly conservative, and when they are elected, will stay true to their conservative principles.
But just because our purpose is to help elect conservative Republicans in seats where they can win doesn't mean that we will be critical of less conservative Republicans who are running in other districts. We have to be realistic - in some House seats, a conservative simply won't get elected. It would be futile to run a staunch conservative in, for instance, the seat now vacated by Greg MacPherson.
So, while the CMP is not set up to help elect moderate Republicans in marginal districts, we sure do hope they win!
